Long Island Doctor Develops Surgery-Free Treatment For Dupuytren’s Disease

CBS New York's medical reporter Dr. Max Gomez reports on Dupuytren's disease which is a condition that affects him personally. Dupuytren's causes a thickening and contraction of the sheet of connective tissue in the palms and fingers.
CBS New York follows Dr. Gomez's treatment plan of a series of enzyme injections with Scott W. Wolfe, MD, hand and upper extremity surgeon at HSS.
"This is something that really has revolutionized the care of our treatment of this disease," said Dr. Wolfe. "I would say 70% now go for one of the more less invasive modailities."
